Phenocam Monitoring

The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory phenocam provides continuous monitoring of forest canopy dynamics at the Lamont Sanctuary Forest site.

GCC (Green Chromatic Coordinate): This metric quantifies the greenness of the canopy by analyzing the digital images and extracting the green color intensity relative to red and blue channels.

Update Frequency: Images are updated daily, providing a continuous record of phenological changes including leaf emergence, senescence, and seasonal transitions.
